How do I only show new episodes of my Favorite shows?
In version 2.x, Favorites settings are controlled per show. To edit a show's settings, tap on the Edit button in Favorites and then tap on a show. Newly added Favorites are controlled by going to Settings > Favorites and setting the "New Favorites" settings. Note: these settings only affect newly added Favorites and will not change existing Favorite shows settings.
Man I liked the old version better, can I get rid of this new stuff?
Change isn't for everyone and we surely won't hold it against you! Head to the Settings > Customize section to add/remove sections, hide channel logos and more. What's On? is built for you, so make sure it's the way you like it.
How do I add or remove channels from my channel listings?
To edit your channel list, tap on the Gear icon in the TV window, tap Locations, tap on the edit button in the right and then tap on your location. Tap on the channels section to enter the channel editor. Once in here you can add and remove any channels you want including groups such as VOD or Music. Really who needs 47 music channels?
Will What's On work for me if I get my channels from an Over The Air (OTA) antenna?
It certainly will. We have listings available (United States and Canada) for cable, satellite, and digital/analog over the air.
How do I look at listings for a time other than now?
To jump forward/back by 30 minutes, tap one of the buttons in the top left/right hand corner or simply slide your finger left/right across the browse view. To jump further into time, tap on the clock in the top right. You'll be presented with a date/time picker to go to any time that you please.
How do I filter my guide?
It's easy! Just scroll to the top of your guide and tap the icon to the left of the search menu. We've added filters for the most common types of things in the guide. Chose from movies, sports, news or new only. To cancel the filter, tap the icon again and chose the no filter option.
What is What's On? Pro and why do I need an account?
We made it simple for users who have multiple devices to use What's On?. By creating an account, all of your settings and favorites are automatically saved. That way when your on the couch with your iPad, the favorites you added at work on your iPhone earlier show in your list at home. You can even take your account a step further and remove the ads. Subscriptions in What's On? can be purchased (for only pennies a day) to remove any advertisements that may interfere with a real media guru's experience.
